About our Senior Pastor…<\/span><\/h4>\n

Pastor Leonard Gibbs has served as senior pastor of Clear Springs Baptist Church since February 2010. He firmly believes that his call to Clear Springs was orchestrated by God and solely for His divine purposes.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0Pastor Gibbs often says, \u201cGod has helped us greatly toward satisfying Jesus\u2019 command to \u201cgo into all the world and preach the gospel\u201d, He is bringing the world to us.\u201d He believes that the Word of God should be presented in a plain and simple context so that all who listen will understand, regardless of lack of familiarity with the contents of the Bible or one\u2019s academic level. Regardless of the many challenges presented by our highly diverse and modern society (culturally, technically, and otherwise) Pastor Gibbs is committed to expounding upon the Word of God in a manner that does not compromise the integrity of the God\u2019s Word or its truth \u2013 Jesus Christ is the Son of God and only by Him and through Him can man be reconciled to God.<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n

Pastor Gibbs is committed to diligent study of the Word of God and delivery of messages that are God inspired only. He is transparent in that he says that \u201cif I would give a message that is not God inspired I would just be giving talk with no spiritual power or authority.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

A native of eastern North Carolina, Pastor Gibbs accepted Christ as his Savior at the age of 8 and at the age of 29 accepted the call to the ministry.\u00a0 He served as pastor as well as in other ministerial roles for many years in his home state. He studied both at the Cape Fear School of Theology and Carolina Bible College.<\/span><\/p>\n

Pastor Gibbs worked as a human resources executive for a global company prior to coming to Clear Springs Baptist Church. He spent more than 30 years in the HR profession.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

About our Associate\u00a0Pastor…<\/span><\/h4>\n

Tom Jennings is the Associate Pastor for Children, Youth and Administration including oversight of our AWANA ministry (Approved Workman Are Not Ashamed), a program currently for age 3 through 6th grade. He is married to Melissa, a middle-school science teacher in Fulton County, with two adult children, Russell and Emily.<\/span><\/p>\n

Tom accepted Christ as his Savior when he was 9 years old in Dalton, GA. Tom completed his Master of Divinity through New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary in May 2016. He is twice a graduate of Georgia Tech\u2019s Electrical Engineering school and worked 24 years in the telecommunications industry before answering a call to the ministry.<\/span><\/p>\n

Tom has a personal love for missions and outreach. He also serves as a faithful member of our choir. Tom’s personal interests beyond family and ministry include almost anything in God\u2019s great outdoors.<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
