The Academy at Double H Ranch: Clear Springs is a proud sponsor and partner with The Academy at Double H Ranch, a ministry of North Central Area Missions. The Academy functions as a non-traditional private school, which provides tuition free Christian education to low income disadvantaged at risk children and youth (who have not historically succeeded in traditional schools). The Academy seeks to help the students prepare for life by providing a safe learning community in which each student is treated with unconditional acceptance and is empowered to reach his/her full potential. Rather than traditional age-segregated classes, The Academy consists of multi-grade learning communities in which older students assist in mentoring their younger classmates and students progress through competency levels, enabling them to work at their own pace. In addition to academic assignments, students complete chores on the ranch, which range from growing vegetables for the school cafeteria to caring for the horses rescued from abuse and neglect under the supervision of a certified equine therapist. Clear Springs ongoing support for The Academy includes the providing of holiday meals, school supplies, individual student back packs, winter coats, and the sponsoring of student events such as a Thanksgiving meal and yearbooks for each student. World Changers: (https://www.lifeway.com/worldchangers/) World Changers is a ministry and missions opportunity facilitated by Lifeway focused on middle-school and high school youth that also engages young college age adults and other mission minded adults. Their official mission statement is:
We exist to serve churches in their mission of making disciples by providing missions experiences that develop the heart of students for serving others and sharing the Gospel. This is accomplished through specifically focused, meaningful missions experiences in strategic cities of all sizes.
Clear Springs takes an average of 25 youth and adults to share the good news of Jesus Christ with individuals, assist worthy families in need of construction centered repairs to their homes, engage in large group worship, and participate in Clear Springs small group devotions … and meet and make new friends from across the nation! The Clear Springs Baptist Youth have been participating in WorldChangers Missions each summer since 2010.
Various fundraising efforts are pursued across the year to help make this opportunity available for the youth of our community. For more information about this missions opportunity or to donate to help cover the costs for our missions team, please contact our Associate Pastor, Tom Jennings at 678-480-6575.
Church Sponsored Missionaries: Mark and Pat Rose serve inside Slavic and Asian countries of the former Soviet Union and are currently missionaries to the country of Georgia. Their vision is to share the Gospel of Christ, to encourage others to trust God more, and to see the Great Commission in living color unfold before their eyes. They need your prayers and support for this ministry to succeed. After 23 years living and working inside Belarus, Russia, Ukraine, Tajikistan and other former Soviet countries, the Lord continues to prove His power and Grace in every conceivable way through their ministries. Please pray for missions in the former Soviet Union and the people there who have little freedom to evangelize.
Mission Projects: Clear Springs proudly sponsors several mission projects each year including: Backpacks for Appalachia, Operation Christmas Child, and the Georgia Baptist Children’s Home Food Drive.
In an effort to fulfill the Great Commission (Matthew 28: 16-20 and Acts 1:8), we strongly emphasize local, national and international missions. Throughout the calendar year, our church participates in many local outreach events such as:
